Security Engineer

Are you a driven Security Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for safeguarding software?

Do you thrive on proactively identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities, ensuring the integrity and protection of Liferay DXP?

If so, your experience in evaluating security risks, developing automated detection tools, and collaborating with development teams to implement robust solutions makes you a perfect fit for this role.

Key Objectives:

  • Evaluate security vulnerabilities in the product, classify them
  • Fix security vulnerabilities or give guidance for other developers
  • Backport vulnerability fixes for older versions of the product
  • Patch open source libraries
  • Write public facing summary of vulnerabilities
  • Develop tools to detect vulnerabilities in Liferay DXP codebase
  • Work with the testing team on complex problem classification

Required Qualifications:

  • Holding an IT-related degree and a technical background is essential for a Security Engineer role
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • An enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast paced technical environment
  • 2+ years previous work experience into the security
  • Mid+ engineer level knowledge of Java and/or Javascript
