Accounting Specialist (AP&AR)

Our partner, one of the most significant Budapest based multinational SSCs is looking for senior colleagues for its accounting team. The future Accountant will be responsible for financial operations (including AP, AR, tax, etc.) and helping team members in understanding end to end Settlements processes.

Location:

Budapest

• Operates the day-to-day Settlements process from financial point of view within strict deadlines
• Reconciling and paying incoming AP invoices
• Confirm incoming cash and prepare cash forecasts
• Raise and issue all AR invoices
• Ensure that all invoices are tax compliant
• Resolve volume, tax and other disputes in a timely manner
• Support and train team members in understanding end to end Settlements processes
• Pro-actively seek opportunities to standardize, simplify and automate processes
• Develop, document and implement mitigations
• Support the Settlements Team Lead/Manager in the measurement and reporting of KPIs

• University degree in Economics preferably in Finance or Accounting
• Fluency in English
• 2-6 years of experience gained in finance or accounting preferably at a multinational company (eg. AP, AR, GL, general accounting)
• Good methodological and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Readiness for action and ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to travel
• Great communication skills
