Team Leader - Cash Collection and Dispute Management-French Speaking

Location: 9th District

The Team Lead is responsible for day-to-day leadership of the Collections, Credit and Disputes Team, by overseeing a) the customer issue resolution process relating to invoicing, and b) the timely collection of receivables. People management of a Collections, Credit and Disputes Team. The countries for which the Team Leader is responsible for is based on the decision of the Senior Manager, Collections, Credit and Disputes. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Collections, Credit and Disputes Department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collection:
  • Contribute to and execute on the collection strategy and portfolio management rules in order to ensure that receivables are collected in time
  • Work on the progressive collection matrix to ensure that the collection strategy is as efficient as possible
  • Ensure controllership overview of the dunning cycle/letters
  • Actively manage bad debt provision levels and write-off processes where applicable
  • Actively manage the unapplied cash status
Dispute management & closing:
  • Ensure that invoicing issues and disputes are kept to a minimum by co-operating with the end-to-end OTC stream
  • Ensure precise communication and swift solution around invoicing issues and disputes, while striving for a positive customer experience
  • Build strong and active relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure close cooperation with Sales Team relating to critical disputes and delinquent customers
  • Approve Credit notes / refunds / write offs within the limits of the current approval matrix
  • Supervise month end closing activities in line with company closing schedule
  • Ensure that all activities are performed timely and in line with the performance targets and track the necessary measurements as required
  • Responsible for compliance, approval verification and quality control review
  • Ensure that all Internal Audit & Business Compliance guidelines are followed and support internal and external audit requests
People management:
  • Directly supervise individual contribution of team members and provide support based on needs
  • Manage performance rigorously & hold others accountable
  • Responsible for selecting, training, mentoring, coordinating and providing direction for work group in accordance with the organization`s policies and applicable legal requirements
  • Facilitates team meetings
  • Provide performance feedback, conduct performance appraisals and reward performance
  • College or University degree is a must
  • 3+ years relevant work experience
  • At least 1 - 2 year of people management experience
  • Understanding of the end-to-end OTC process
  • Fluency is required in English and in French
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements
  • ERP knowledge (Oracle or SAP) is a must
