Accountant with Slovak/Czech knowledge

Tasks

  • Execute accounting processes (e.g., month-end close, reconciliations, fixed assets).
  • Collaborate with country teams and shared services to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop deep business knowledge to support decision-making.
  • Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules.
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and bank relationships.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts with proper documentation.
  • Ensure KPI compliance and support performance management.
  • Suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.
  • Report progress and escalations to the Senior Accountant.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting (but recent graduates or students are also welcome).
  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Fluency in English and Slovak/Czech.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
