Euronet EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) division seeks to employ a Cost Control Manager who will join the EMEA Regional Cost Control Team. The successful candidate will be based in Budapest under the leadership of the Regional Controller, and will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing all the general costs and CAPEX spending.

Business partnership and development
- Proactively drive review and analysis of all general cost elements
- Provide sound financial guidance to the Regional and Finance Directors to aid effective decision-making
- HR business partner Management
Controlling
- Monthly review of cost center P&Ls
- Monitor spending on a monthly, quarterly and long-term basis
- Compare assumptions of the standard cost models with the actual figures
- Root cause analysis of the largest variances by drilling down on lower level
- Participate in monthly meetings with operations management in all regions and communicate/align on main causes of deviations
- Propose changes / updates to the standard cost model and discuss with cost owners / managers.
- Drive cost agenda and efficiency programs
- To improve/transform all the related cost process budgeting/reporting/governance/approval
Overview of accounting activities and related controls
- Coordinate monthly closing processes, accounting activities and operate controls effectively
- Ensure compliance including internal and external regulatory requirements
People Management
- Work together with various financial and business stakeholders
- Attract, engage and develop talent; assess and ensure the right people are in the right roles
- Set clear goals and hold team accountable for executing against those goals
Elvárások
- University Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related academic field.
- A minimum eight (8) years of business finance or relevant experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Proven experience in cost rationalization, cost monitoring or similar tasks or projects
- Excellent managerial skills, able to develop and to make team members grow based on continuous performance measurement and constructive feedback
- Strong commercial awareness with proven expertise getting deep into numbers and data, questioning assumptions to generating insights and solving complex business problems
- High-level of discretion, confidentiality, and ethics as you’ll be dealing with confidential data
- Excellent communicator with superior written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, able to confidently present confidently to all levels
- Ownership mindset, with ability to meet tight deadlines using a logical, methodical approach to prioritization
- Expert in data analysis and visualization, with expertise in one or more analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python, R, or similar)
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
