Our partner is looking for a Development Cost Manager!

Job purpose:
Optimize capital expenditures for building new and moderning existing restaurants by preparing cost estimates used for budgeting and cost modeling, manage offers review provided by contractors, including benchmarking to market prices, cost control, and verification requests concerning additional and non-standard works. Review final figures and provide recommendation for future cost reductions meeting required standards and quality.


Development Cost Manager


Your main tasks will be:

  • Prepares detailed costs estimates based on design documentation, brand manual requirements, assets condition surveys for openings and renovations projects
  • Revises provided budget requests, verifies price levels, check compliance with brand standards, identifies cost involved and provides recommendations to set optimal budgets
  • Manages and assist during tendering process by implementing the most efficient procedures for collection, revision and selection of contractors to suggest improvements
  • Introduces processes and procedures to assure realization of openings and renovation projects within approved budget and actively look for savings opportunities
  • Optimizes build cost specification by leading value engineering workshops in order to implement cost effective solutions in brand manuals
  • Cooperates with Design & Construction Departments in all cost management processes including project briefing, budgeting, tendering, cost control during realization and final accounting
  • Manages database of actual and potential contractors, agree frameworks agreements based on standard rates and review actual performance vs assumptions


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (Quantity Surveying, Engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the profession with practical experience providing construction cost estimations, plans, and strategies
  • Good economic and financial knowledge in the area of cost control and cost forecasting, investment appraisal and risk analysis
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Very good analytical skills, planning skills and ability to articulate clearly conclusions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in team
  • Willingness to continuously and proactively collaborate, share, and seek information and guidance Good knowledge of MS Office, especially of Excel
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Norma Pro programs is an advantage
