This Is What We Do

We are the central data product management team for DT Sales & Service. To achieve this, we work in a virtual organizational structure with Telekom IT and TDG, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies for Business Intelligence and Big Data solutions.

In order to reduce the complexity of the IT landscape, it is now necessary to analyze and model business processes, as well as both functional and IT-related solutions.

Together with the architects of the virtual organizational structure, we will develop target visions for business data products and technical data solutions. Additionally, we will establish a roadmap to reduce complexity. Guardrails provide a framework for both business and technical design.

The software development process will be redefined in such a way that model-driven design (“Forward Engineering”) and DevOps concepts are taken into account. The goal is to outline how Tel-IT and Service-IT can collaboratively reduce complexity to enable new innovations.

Requirements:

Analysis of IT solutions within the entire service reporting environment:

• Conducting interviews with architects, data engineers, and software developers
• Analyzing development standards, tools in use, and operational processes

Creating suitable models to describe the existing IT solutions in terms of development and operational quality:

• Visualization of complexity and evaluation of software quality
• Description of the level of documentation and modeling of solutions
• Development of KPIs for operational stability and solution assessment

Deriving concrete measures to improve software quality and operational security:

• Designing a model-driven DevOps development process
• Developing guidelines for development and operations to measurably improve software quality and operational stability
