We are seeking a skilled and experienced Professional to lead and coordinate the General Ledger and Reporting function of our multinational Partner. This leadership role ensures the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with local statutory requirements and IFRS. The successful candidate will drive process improvements, supervise a team, and act as a key partner in financial projects and audits.

Tasks

  • Supervise and coordinate the monthly, interim, and year-end reporting processes.
  • Lead the closing and reporting activities, set timelines, and establish control points.
  • Continuously develop and improve the reporting process based on regulatory changes, internal policies, or evolving business needs.
  • Create and maintain detailed closing schedules; oversee compliance across departments involved in the reporting process.
  • Coordinate audit activities, ensure timely and accurate information delivery, and supervise audit-related adjustments.
  • Support the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and changes in both reporting practices and ERP systems.
  • Lead and manage the internal team: define roles, set objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and propose training or development plans.
  • Monitor and optimize cost-effective operations in line with the company’s strategy; suggest process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain regular communication with client CFOs and organize meetings with managing directors when needed.
  • Actively participate in client-related projects and represent the financial reporting function.

Requirements

  • University or college degree in finance/accounting
  • Big4 audit or other consultancy experience is a must
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong command of national accounting regulations; solid IFRS knowledge and/or experience required; certified accountant qualification is essential
  • SAP knowledge is required; experience with other ERP systems (e.g. Navision) is an advantage
  • People management background is essential
  • English – working proficiency required
  • International collaboration experience is essential
