As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play an important role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines that support business intelligence, trading operations, and customer insights across a truly global ecosystem.
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SQL-based ETL processes.
Support data modelling, transformation, and integration from various sources into Azure Synapse and Databricks.
Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, addressing performance and data integrity issues proactively.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to provide timely access to clean, structured, and reliable datasets.
Implement data quality checks and validation routines aligned with data governance and compliance standards.
Document technical workflows and contribute to ongoing improvements in data architecture and processes.
Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
Understanding of data modelling and relational databases
Basic knowledge of Python for data workflows
Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear communication and cross-team collaboration
Awareness of data security and compliance (e.g. GDPR)
Motivation to learn in a modern cloud-native environment
Desirable:
Exposure to Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Power BI
