Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking for an individual who has keen interest in digital learning trends, particularly in identifying technical solutions to complex problems. Affinity to Information Technology is necessary for this role, demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Learning Management Systems (hands-on experience with Workday is an advantage), content authoring tools for self-paced learning (Articulate 360 and Rise) and experience in user support are considered an asset. As the incumbent is responsible for preparing regular and ad-hoc reports for GLDC and other key stakeholders, hands-on knowledge with data analysis, management and visualization is desired.

Candidates must be legally present in Hungary at the time of application, recruitment and hire.

Recruitment as a UNHCR staff member and engagement under a UNHCR affiliate scheme or as an intern is subject to proof of vaccination against Covid-19.

For G6 - 3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher. NOTE: A completed and relevant minimum first level university degree (equivalent to BA or higher) shall count in full (100%) towards the required years of work experience. Priority will be given to eligible applicants meeting the full requirements

Remuneration: In case of appointment, a competitive compensation and benefits package is offered. G6 - Salary range: NET 558,082 HUF- NET 654,280 HUF.

Benefits: Annual leave: UNHCR staff members holding a fixed-term appointment will accrue annual leave at the rate of 2.5 working days for each full calendar months of service (i.e. 30 working days per year).

Pension system: Staff members holding a fixed-term appointment will become participants in the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF).

Health insurance plan: locally recruited staff members in Budapest will be enrolled in the Medical Insurance Plan (MIP). The coverage is also optionally available for eligible family members. Internal Job Description

Nature of Position:

This position is affiliated with the Talent Architect Unit in UNHCR’s Global Learning and Development Centre. The unit is a strategic counterpart for the Learning & Integrated Talent Experience Section (LITE), Talent Development and Performance Section (TDPS), and the Leadership and People Management Section (LPM), supporting them with technical solutions, which is a critical role in implementing an integrated talent approach. The unit is responsible for supporting, designing, developing, and delivering tailored learning solutions for UNHCR's workforce in Operations, Offices, and Divisions. This includes having an advisory role in the development of various learning materials and making sure that they are up to the quality standards determined by the GLDC. Besides this, the unit is responsible for the everyday operation of the Learning Management System, which includes system optimization, liaising with various internal stakeholders, and providing end-user support.

The unit is taking a key role in the ongoing transition to Workday: managing the ERP system’s Learning module, which is integrated into the overall talent experience. This position plays a key role in this process by having an in-depth understanding of Workday and its Learning Module, its various touchpoints with other parts of the system, and integrations with external platforms.

Learning Development Associate

Organizational Setting and Work Relationships

This job contributes to talent development approaches and activities. The role is to assist in the development of relevant corporate learning and development strategies and the design and delivery of customized solutions for colleagues in functional areas, managers and leaders in order to improve performance and contribute to career pathways. In doing so this will contribute towards building a positive UNHCR learning culture. In addition, the incumbent will also support the design and deliver of learning and development activities related to Bureaux and operational priorities.
Under the direct supervision of the supervisor who will provide overall direction and guidance in connection with the work, the incumbent will provide full scale administrative support to learning activities in area of responsibility.
This includes but not limited to preparations of cost estimations, stakeholder management with trainers, venues and field offices, learner management with participants and Learning Management System administration. The incumbent supports the management of a portfolio of relevant activities in the Unit and may supervise staff members whose performance the incumbent will monitor and whom the incumbent will guide and support in their day-to-day functions.
The job requires the incumbent to contribute the unit¿s work both internally with the Divisions and Bureaux and in coordination with regional and field offices and external partners concerning capacity building and awareness raising activities to ensure appropriate cross-linkages of all UNHCR learning and development programmes with functional and management/leadership component.

- Support the training needs assessment, design and delivery of learning offerings including distance learning, coaching, eLearning, workshop and other approaches using various tools and platforms.
- Support organization and facilitation of workshops, training courses and promotional activities for both UNHCR staff and partners (including implementation of all logistical arrangements relating to promotional and training activities).
- Support the effective coordination of training activities and liaise on all levels, jointly with key stakeholders on any platform.
- Contribute to the development of written materials, guides and job aides to be used for learning/staff development purposes.
- May manage the delivery of smaller learning activities.
- Assist the development of written materials, guides, job aides, manuals, etc. to be used for training/learning/staff development purposes.
- Ensure learning materials are uploaded into the Learning Management system if required.
- Contribute input on systems and procedure development. - Select information and records in specified formats for use by others in preparing reports, correspondence, technical papers, project or programme plans and general reference documents. - Monitor the expenditure and processes the day-to-day transactions under the approved budget.
- Enter data into ERP, liaises with other UNHCR sections to facilitate payments and prepares periodic unit expenditure reports and any other ad-hoc reporting needed; compiles statistics as required or directed.
- Make travel and hotel reservations, prepares travel authorization forms and assembles and dispatches information and training material.
- Establish and maintain the Unit¿s electronic and hardcopy filing system, including databases.
- Prepare consultancy contracts and/or internship documents, reports as required.
- May supervise and/or train interns.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Relevant Job Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in progressively responsible administrative functions, preferably related to administration, pedagogical activities and/or provision of training. Experience with an Enterprise Resource Management system.
Prior exposure to functions related to office administration. Experience with UNHCR's operations and procedures. Experience with distance learning and learning management software. Exposure to UNHCR specific learning/training activities.
