Localization Engineer

Feladatok

• Assess the internationalization readiness of content to be localized.
• Develop and maintain processes, file filters and segmentation rules to gather and filter the content that needs translation into translation packages for translators.
• Create continuous localization processes that enable the delivery of translated content at the cadence required by the business leveraging buy and make strategies.
• Scale localization capabilities through integrated systems
• Collaborate with localization process stakeholders for continuous improvement and write Agile feature requirements for localization technology supporting teams.
• Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of translation processes through initiatives such as optimizing TMs, TBs or retraining MT engines.
• Support all internal Localization stakeholders with technical issues and extend support to localization vendors.
• Support daily localization operations

Elvárások

• Solid knowledge of the most common Localization technologies, content management systems (CMS, Web delivery tools) and localization workflows
• Comfortable with string manipulation through regex, XPath, JsonPath, Python or other programming tools
• Mastery of Localization industry standards as Unicode and other character encodings, XML and common file formats, XLIFF.
• Solid knowledge of software development common technologies: source code control, software frameworks and common localization formats.
• Expertise and excitement about troubleshooting and fixing problems
• Written and verbal mastery of English
• Ability to work well with global Agile teams
