Bufab is a leading European industrial wholesaler for fasteners and a provider of C-Part Management Services to industrial customers. We are looking for a Managing Director to head our Hungarian operation, to increase our local market share and to develop the company to one of the leaders in its industry in Hungary following BUFAB overall strategy.

The job holder is responsible for ensuring the smooth take over and day-to-day running of the company. He/she should lead his team by example from the field and develop sales team towards industrial sales with the aim of generating a win-win solution for the customer and the company.

In this role the candidate should work on his/her own initiative, considering it as a lifetime opportunity to lead BUFAB Hungary to a next level. This drive may come from past successes to follow or failure that given a lesson learnt well. The BUFAB background (Scandinavian culture and solid business basement) and the current size of the local company may attract achievers who are unable to follow their way in a large matrix-type multinational organization.

The Managing Director will report directly to the Director Business Unit Eastern Europe and will lead the local team with full strategic, sales growth, operational and P&L responsibilities. Upon performance further personal responsibilities could be assigned as future perspective

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic direction within the territory and achieve market share growth, becoming a first-choice partner for manufacturing clients,
  • Effectively manage all operational, manufacturing, engineering, sales, finance, HR and administrative aspects to ensure profitable and efficient performance,
  • Drive commercial intensity and operational excellence with a focus on Cost, Quality and Delivery,
  • Determine investment needs vs budget constraints, ensuring compliance with company policies,
  • Be responsible for the strategic forecast and annual budgeting process and cost discipline,
  • Liaise and network with the other key members inside and outside of the Eastern Europe BU to facilitate best practice sharing,
  • Take responsibility for the compliance of the local organization with law and with BUFAB standards, advise BU management on local issues.
  • Have an impact on purchasing and stock control activities, make sure the field and internal sales teams hit their targets, and manage Key Accounts directly if needed.

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or finance, or combination of work history and education; MBA or master’s degree preferred,
  • Extensive team and people management experience, with full responsibility for running an organization/unit/company,
  • A high level of commercial awareness coupled with a good sense of business acumen,
  • Although not essential, experience gained within the automotive or electronical manufacturing or engineering industry would be an advantage,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others,
  • Proven experience working with and developing high performance teams,
  • Fluent English,
  • The ideal candidate has a strong sales-oriented background gained most preferably in C-parts Management and/or Fasteners business.
