Pricing Manager
Tasks
As a Pricing Manager, you will:
- Lead Pricing Strategy: Design and execute pricing models aligned with product positioning, customer value, and margin goals.
- Define Value-Based Pricing: Partner with Product Managers to craft pricing architecture and competitive product positioning.
- Drive Governance: Establish pricing policies, approval workflows, and discounting guidelines.
- Support Sales and Commerce: Collaborate on complex quotes, contracts, and negotiations; analyze long-term pricing agreements.
- Monitor Market Trends: Study market dynamics, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to identify strategic opportunities.
- Build Pricing Models: Develop tools and simulations to guide new product launches and portfolio updates.
- Optimize Global Pricing: Support international go-to-market pricing approaches tailored by region and distribution model.
- Lead with Data: Track key pricing KPIs (contribution margin, price realization, pricing variance) and enhance pricing systems.
- Mentor Talent: Guide and support a dedicated Pricing Specialist for operational pricing tasks.
Requirements
- 5+ years in pricing, product marketing, or strategy (B2B/industrial focus)
- Strong analytical skills & experience with pricing tools and financial modeling
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in international environments
- Strategic thinker with excellent execution and attention to detail
- Experience in value-based pricing, product positioning, and pricing governance
- Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
- Leadership mindset – will mentor a Pricing Specialist
- Degree in Economics, Business, or Marketing; MBA is a plus
- Fluent English (other European languages are a bonus)
