We are assisting a new precision machinery manufacturing company in Hungary in their search for a Procurement Engineer.
Procurement Engineer
Feladatok
Develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local suppliers (steel, copper, plating, packaging)
Manage daily supplier communication, order placement, delivery tracking, and quality feedback
Assess supplier performance regularly and optimize supplier resources
Conduct annual price negotiations with suppliers
Develop procurement plans based on production schedules and inventory levels
Negotiate procurement contracts to ensure fair pricing and timely deliveries
Monitor procurement processes and address any issues
Responsible for the procurement of office facilities and equipment, and assist in the procurement of production equipment
Complete other tasks assigned by management
Követelmények
Relevant educational background (vocational school, technical college, or university degree preferred) in supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing
3+ years of procurement/supply chain experience, preferably having experience in metal materials procurement, such as steel and copper
Fluent in English and Hungarian (working proficiency)
Familiarity with the Hungarian market, strong supplier networks, and negotiation skills
Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and cost control
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in MS Office
