The Information Technology Compliance Enablement organization was established to provide capabilities to support business line compliance with data privacy, export controls, and records management regulations and requirements.

Records Management Technology Advisor


We are looking for Records Management Advisors who are the corporate experts in the application of records management principles and associated regulations. The Advisors use their expertise to advise business and service lines on day-to-day records management activities and records management developments to assess and continuously improve ExxonMobil’s records management compliance program.

  • Advise business and service lines regarding the proper application of the Records Management Guidelines (RMG) and Recommended Practices in electronic systems
  • Develop, design and implement processes and tools supporting Records Management compliance
  • Research new technologies and tools for Records Management applicability
  • Develop standards on RMG compliant scanning and disposition
  • Provide analysis on Records Management metrics
  • Liaise with ExxonMobil IT and business lines to assist with data/records migrations
  • Manage Compliance Enablement SharePoint sites


  • College / University degree and/or technical diploma in IT or relevant field
  • Strong critical thinking skills and analytical capability
  • Experience in converting business requirements into technical requirements
  • Ability to research new applications and technologies and their applicability to records management objectives
  • Demonstrated skills to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven record of work independently and in a virtual team setting
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills in English and relevant user languages


  • Knowledge of Records Management principles
  • Familiaruty with Information Organization principles
  • Understanding of systems, data and electronic records repositories
  • Advanced SharePoint skills including site collection management
