Release Train Engineer (REF3855E)

We are looking for an experienced release train engineer for the following project:
ELSA, as a digitization program for CNF develops in SAFe Mode with 12 product teams in on-/near- and offshore application, process automation and sets up new IT architecture for the fully automated network enhance management. Especially German program members need to be supported to adapt agile methods, agile tools to ensure successful in time delivery of the program.

Your daily tasks:

  • Coach all roles within the Agile Release Train (ART), especially Teams and Scrum Masters, on Scrum, SAFe methodologies, and agile mindset
  • Support Scrum Masters in increasing the agile maturity of their teams
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the SAFe framework, ideally within the LACE team
  • Assist the Product Manager in the continuous exploration process to derive vision, program roadmap, and program backlog
  • Support the Product Manager in managing the program backlog, ensuring clarity and up-to-date artifacts
  • Optimize value flow across the ART using tools like Program Kanban and cross-team metrics
  • Implement and apply relevant metrics to track development activities and enhance agile maturity
  • Help remove cross-team impediments while fostering self-organized problem-solving within teams
  • Manage dependencies between teams within the ART
  • Promote DevOps adoption to ensure continuous and high-quality delivery
  • Own the preparation and execution of Program Increment (PI) Planning and System Demos
  • Facilitate cross-team process improvements through Inspect & Adapt workshops and problem-solving sessions
  • Lead regular synchronization meetings within the ART, such as Scrum of Scrums and coordination with external service providers

  1. SAFe Framework:

    • Deep understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework, its principles, and practices
  2. Agile Methods:

    • Several years of experience with Scrum, Kanban, and/or other agile methodologies
  3. Agile Principles – advantageous

  4. Project and Program Management – advantageous

    • Experience in managing large, complex projects or program

    • Supporting and developing Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other team members

Language Skills:

  • English: Fluent in spoken and written form
