Senior Analyst, Content & Marketing FP&A
Paramountis seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our
Content & Marketing finance team. In this role, you will provide essential financial insights and strategic recommendations to support our business objectives. This position requires a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, ideally within the entertainment and media sector. You will collaborate closely with financial and business stakeholders to assess, budget, and report financial performance for programming and marketing teams across international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to forecast content and marketing expenses, collaborating with regional and brand leads and other finance teams.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning (monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term forecasts).
- Partner with Programming and Marketing teams to gather accurate data, ensure proper transfer to financial systems, and align financial assumptions with business strategies.
- Manage the monthly and quarterly close processes within Paramount’s financial framework.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business strategy.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and consolidate ad hoc financial analyses and reports.
- Oversee and refine processes and policies to ensure efficient brand management. Proactively address issues and ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in finance, with a preference for candidates with a background in the entertainment or media industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (Excel, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to build relationships across various organizational levels. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including financial presentation capabilities.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong team orientation.
- Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced and evolving industry landscape.
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, ideally with a sense of humor. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently navigate complex issues and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Proven leadership in driving process improvements. Fluency in written and spoken English.
