Staff Application Engineer
Feladatok
- Collaborate with IC design, systems and marketing teams to define new Power and Isolation products
- Provide technical assistance to a global customer base, primarily via our customer support system, but occasionally in-person
- Develop customer evaluation hardware that provides best-practice layout guidelines for maximum EMI control
- Develop creative demonstration hardware and solutions to support pre-sale customer demonstrations and trade shows
- Author and maintain written collateral, such as application notes, user guides and whitepapers
- Author and deliver written, video and live training material to customers and our field teams
- Develop custom hardware solutions to help customers solve tough problems
- Work with partner companies to develop reference designs using Skyworks products
- Conduct detailed electrical analysis of competitive solutions to facilitate understanding of the competitive landscape
Other key aspects of the position:
- Must be comfortable explaining technical concepts to a wide range of audiences including more senior engineers and management teams

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years of professional experience
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals
- Strong and methodical problem-solving skills
- Understanding of power switching circuits
- Understanding of PCB design tools, techniques and processing
- Understanding of basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters, etc.)
- Some working knowledge of a high-level programming or scripting language
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- A great attitude with an eagerness to learn and facility to adapt to changes in plans and new technical challenges
