Our client is a Hungarian software development company specializing in custom computer programming and digital solutions and they are currently looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join their team.
Test Automation Engineer
Tasks
Automated Testing Implementation and Maintenance: Implement and maintain automated tests using modern frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest).
CI/CD Integration and Pipeline Management: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines (primarily Jenkins) to ensure continuous delivery.
Core Testing: Write, extend, and adapt unit, component, and integration tests, with a focus on Java code, including scenarios for event-driven systems and Kafka.
Quality Advocacy: Actively contribute to fostering a quality-first mindset within the cross-functional agile team, including challenging acceptance criteria and enforcing quality gates.
Collaboration and Coaching: Participate in defect triage, act as a specialist for test-related questions and coach colleagues to embed quality into the development process.
Requirements
Experience Level: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Test Automation.
Core Technical Skills: Strong coding skills in Java (or other relevant language like Python/JavaScript) for writing and extending unit/integration tests. Direct experience with Kafka and Jenkins CI/CD is essential.
Language Skills: Fluent English is important for daily work with international clients.
Work Environment & Mindset: Ability to work autonomously in a cross-functional agile team environment with a strong tester mindset.
