About the Role
We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate Medior Database System Specialist to join Digital Factory. The new team member will be part of our Digital Engineering Team who is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Databricks platform, and providing operational support. Operational support responsibilities include platform set-up and configuration, workspace administration, resource monitoring, providing technical support to data engineering, Data Science/ML, and Application/integration teams, performing restores/recoveries, troubleshooting service issues, determining the root causes of issues, and resolving issues.
Main Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain databases and data processing systems.
- Ensure the Security and integrity of data.
- Monitor and optimize system performance and scalability.
- Create and maintain documentation for data systems and processes.
- Create workspaces, configure cloud resources, view usage data, and manage account identities, settings, and subscriptions.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to ingest, transform, and orchestrate data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data systems.
- Follow the agile methodology and the best practices of the digital engineering team.
About Your Experience and Skills
- EducationUniversity or college degree with specialization in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in database management or cloud computing are a plus.
- Experience3+ years of production support of the Databricks platform.
- 2+ years of AWS/Azure PaaS preferred.
- 2+ years of automation frameworks such as Terraform preferred.
- Retail IT domain background is a plus.
- Professional and Technical CompetenciesStrong understanding of database architecture and data modeling.
- Proficiency in database management systems like Azure Databricks, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in Azure Synapse and Window Server Operation Systems.
- Experience with ETL tools and processes.
- Experience with big data technologies and real-time data processing is a plus
- Python and Bash for scripting and automation
- Practical experience generating process documentation and reports.
- Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience in working with agile methodology and following the best practices of the digital engineering team.
- Soft SkillsStrong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.

- Initial call: You will be contacted by MOL Recruitment via phone for a short chat.
- Interview: You can expect two or a maximum of three interview rounds, where you can meet your direct manager, some experts from the team, ask your questions and present your skills and career path. We always make sure you receive timely feedback after each round.
