Finance and Accounting Manager

Tasks

  • Prepare financial policy and accounting policy; prepare and maintain financial and accounting regulations. Monitor legal regulations and implement related changes.
  • Manage financial and accounting tasks; organize, supervise, and monitor the work of subordinates, and create the necessary conditions for their operation.
  • Account for fixed assets, wages, and taxes.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and monthly&annual income statements.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital, prepare cash flow reports.
  • Prepare and send monthly reports to the parent company. Liaise with departmental representatives of the parent and sister companies.
  • Prepare forecast&budget planning, supervise controlling activities.
  • Authorize bank transfers, liaise with banks.
  • Provide data to the Central Statistical Office (KSH), liaise with authorities.
  • Coordinate audits and cooperate with the auditor.
  • Determine and declare taxes to be paid, and arrange for their payment. Prepare tax returns.
  • Prepare and provide information and reports requested by the managing director or management

Requirements

  • Higher education in economics or finance (with strong accounting knowledge).
  • Minimum 5 years of professional and management experience.
  • Negotiation-level English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • SAP knowledge and practical experience. Professional user-level knowledge of MS Office (especially advanced Excel knowledge; Power BI knowledge is an advantage).
  • Solid knowledge of legal regulations.
  • IFRS knowledge.
  • Controlling knowledge and experience.
  • Leadership competencies.
  • Precision and professional diligence. Sense of responsibility, conscientiousness, and reliability.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively but being able to cooperate and work in a team.
  • Impeccable background.
