GL Team Leader - German Speaking

Feladatok

  • Guide and manage a team of 10-15 (Senior) Accountants to ensure high-quality accounting services for all customers.
    Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, plan and monitor team capacity and workload, and hire additional team members as needed.
  • Coordinate and control knowledge transfer processes, ensuring smooth post go-live stabilization of finance operations.
    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a motivating work atmosphere, lead by example in cross-functional teamwork, and actively drive change management.
  • Coach and motivate team members to achieve their best performance.
  •  Lead and participate in various projects, including process optimization initiatives
  • Be involved in daily operations and participate in periodical closing processes
  • Ensure adherence to DTPs (detailed process documentation) during the knowledge transfer phase
  • Monitor daily transactions and the overall performance of the accounting department
  • Approve journal entries by auditing transactions for accuracy
  • Manage monthly closings and prepare monthly financial statements
  • Oversee year-end closing processes
  • Resolve bank-related issues, including fee anomalies and discrepancies
  • Review and approve account and bank reconciliations
  • Oversee asset transactions and depreciation, ensuring compliance with policies
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
  • Regularly review and approve balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Manage asset master data, asset classes, acquisitions, disposals, revaluations, and depreciation. Control AA closing activities
  • Support the Accounting Manager in monitoring team performance against Service Level Agreements
  • Collaborate with the Senior Finance Manager to establish departmental KPIs
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with business partners and stakeholders.

Követelmények

  • University degree preferably in Economics or Finance with major in accounting or equivalent qualification
  • Good English and German language skills (written and spoken)
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas is required
  • Experience in leading, coaching and mentoring people is required
  • Experience in process automation and optimization
  • SAP accounting experience is required, knowledge of Navision is an advantage
  • Experience in building organization is an advantage
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right time
  • Strong continuous improvement & quality mindset
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
