Head of Plant Logistics and Supply Chain Management (m/f/d)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Take the functional and disciplinary responsibility for all technical and human aspects within the entire logistics organization and supply chain management processes of the plant.
Have the overall responsibility for the intra-plant logistics processes, the material scheduling and operational purchasing, the production planning and customer service as well as the associated support processes.
Define, design, implement and coordinate the organizational structures, logistics and supply chain management processes as well as the logistics infrastructure during the plant set-up
Leadership and Organization: Lead, motivate and develop the employees in the area of responsibility.
Analyze, further develop and continuously optimize the logistics organization, structures and processes from a holistic perspective.
Document and coordinate the logistics processes to ensure logistics operations according to the stakeholder’s expectations in terms of time, quality and cost.
Dynamise the activities of the department in order to achieve the strategic objectives defined annually, especially those in which they are directly involved.
Overseeing the department's objectives, promoting systems of continuous improvement among all team members.
Ensuring the correct planning of products and components and their timely delivery for the production.
Logistics cost responsibility and budget accountability.
Active escalation management for all issues related to logistics and supply chain management with all involved stakeholders (such as suppliers and customers).
Consequent logistics performance controlling and improvement
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
University degree (Diploma, Master or comparable graduation)
Minimum of 5 years of professional and proven industry work experience within automotive or industrial logistics in a similar role
Ability to work as part of a team and to lead and highly motivate a team
Excellent analytical skills
Strong competence in managing all kinds of organizational interfaces
Well developed, effective and target-group-specific communication skills
Well organized and high level of operational readiness
Reliability and strong result orientation
Perfect command of written and spoken English
Knowledge of German is an asset
Deep SAP ERP (SD, MM, PP, WM) knowledge on logistics and material planning processes
Lean Management experience
