The Intermediate Infrastructure Security Services Analyst is part of the vulnerability scanning team who provides specialized security skills including the research and analysis for planning, organizing, and managing corporate-wide security functions. These functions consist of organizational and technical infrastructure, policies, standards and procedures, security baselines, risk assessments, compliance requirements, system security management, security event monitoring and event correlation, computer incident investigative support, computer forensics, and consulting.
What You Will Need:
• Relevant experience required in at least 2 of the following specialisms
o Infrastructure/Network Security Policies and Procedures
o SQL and/or scripting in PowerShell or Python with emphasis on API methods
o Vulnerability Testing
o Cloud infrastructure with emphasis on AWS services
o Linux and/or Mac OS
• Basic understanding across the entire spectrum of Infrastructure services
delivery and support mechanisms (ITIL disciplines).
• Basic understanding of computing systems architecture, programming, networking, storage and operating system principles, and ideally on large-scale systems operations and procedures.
• Installation, maintenance and configuration skills of hardware and software associated with typical IT infrastructure.
• Problem resolution skills– from root cause to resolution.
• Demonstrated skills in both verbal and written communication to be able to convey complex topics to customers and stakeholders.
• Testing skills including analysis and documentation of test scripts. Acquire understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships.
• Meet targets and fulfill agreements even when adverse circumstances prevail.
• Apply relevant quality standards to all tasks undertaken.
Preferred
• Experience with Rapid7 InsightVM
• History and desire to automate processes.
• Knowledge of computing systems architecture, programming, networking, storage, operating system principles, and ideally on large-scale systems operations and procedures.
• Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery Architectures, techniques, and processes.
• Awareness / familiarization with appropriate legislation including the Data Privacy Act.
• Certifications in relevant technologies, methods, or platforms.
• Demonstrate the key critical behaviors of commitment to task, communication, customer focus, decision making / problem solving, flexibility, tolerance of ambiguity, planning, prioritizing, and goal setting.
