Payroll Analyst

What will your role be in the team

  • Responsible for payroll activities for in-house and outsourced payrolls as part of the Europe-Africa-Middle East payroll team that supports over 25 countries
  • Ensure payroll is run timely, accurately while meeting control requirements
  • Work with external service providers, manage their day-to-day operations, steward their service performance level and perform payroll approval controls as part of EAME payroll team
  • Responsible for vendor management day-to-day payroll vendor oversight as per the service contract scope
  • Administer time attendance end to end process for data acquisition into payroll
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, IT and Tax to adapt payroll gross to net to company policies and benefit changes
  • Execute EFT process (Electronic Funds Transfer) file to Bank and administer third party payment for benefit plans
  • Perform tax and social security withholding reconciliation and payment to authorities
  • Provide payroll-related information and reporting to government entities
  • Coordinate customer service support to employees for payroll matters
  • Ensure payroll work processes and documentation under responsibility are maintained
  • Manage payroll accounting activities: transfer payroll sub-ledger data into general ledger journal vouchers, book accruals, balance sheet account reconciliation, monthly financial close, year-end processes.
  • Collect and analyze performance indicators (BPI's) on a monthly basis
  • Prepare & distribute payroll calendars for all trusted sources
  • Be part of global and local payroll networks to execute continuous improvement initiatives

What are we looking for

  • Ability to work full-time (40 hrs/week)
  • Bachelor/Master degree (or pending degree with only the final exam outstanding) in Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent with 0-2 years relevant work experience (in accounting, finance, payroll or other relevant experience)
  • Accounting background with minimum of 3 semesters of studies (and strong understanding of it)
  • Fluent level of English and second European language, besides Hungarian, is encouraged (French, German, Italian, Norwegian)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to take self-initiative and seek challenges
  • Ability to influence others and work in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill
  • Proven record of initiative, leadership and academic achievement
  • Attention to accuracy and detail and ability to meet priorities and deadlines
  • Digital and innovation capabilities
