SENIOR DATA ENGINEER
As part of our team, we will count on you to…
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs
- Optimize data processing workflows and performance, ensuring data quality and integrity
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to support data warehousing and analytics initiatives
- Implement data security and privacy best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, continuously improving skills and knowledge
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the team
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, contributing data engineering expertise as needed
This is the perfect opportunity for you, if You have…
- Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field or Economics with strong IT affinity.
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or big data
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases. NoSQL is an advantage
- Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing platforms preferably MS Azure based
- Expertise in at least one programming languages such as Python, Scala or C#
- Familiarity with at least one data integration tool such as Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Alteryx or SSIS
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data structures, algorithms, master data and transactional data concepts
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as MS Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English and in Hungarian
- At least one Industry-specific knowledge or experience in the target domain (e.g., Banking, Finance, healthcare, retail, insurance)
- Knowledge of MS Office tools
- Independent project management and proactive stakeholder involvement.

Nice to have skills:
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Conceptual understanding of Machine Learning use cases
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies
- Azure certificates in topics of Data engineering, Data analytics
