Our partner, who is the Hungarian subsidiary of a large international company, is looking for experienced Senior Payroll Tax Financial Analyst professionals to join their team!
Senior Payroll Tax Financial Analyst
Tasks
Review payroll data input and withholding tax accounts regularly
Prepare and submit federal, state, and local payroll tax deposits, including ACH file generation, EFTPS submissions, and deposit reconciliation
Manage tax filings on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
Monitor monthly and quarterly tax filings for accuracy and compliance
Manage amendments and corrections, including Forms 941-X, W-2c, and state-level amended returns
Perform year-end payroll tax reporting (W-2 data generation, SSA and state filings) and support employees with inquiries and corrections
Reconcile payroll tax withholding accounts and 941 filings to W-2 filings annually
Research and resolve client tax questions; educate clients on service updates and changes in tax legislation
Drive process improvements, refine policies and procedures, and deploy best practices in payroll tax operations
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4–6 years of payroll tax experience, preferably in a multinational environment
Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, union reporting, and external talent payroll
Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP)
Advanced Excel and ERP experience
Strong understanding of payroll-related GAAP / US Payroll Tax accounting, controls, and compliance
CPP or similar certification is a plus
Proven experience reviewing and reconciling W-2 forms to 941 filings
Ability to interpret tax legislation and union agreements
Experience developing procedures and improving processes
NetSuite & MasterTax experience preferred
Flexibility to support U.S. business during critical periods; travel 0–15%
