We are looking for a Finnish Payroll Specialist to join our EMEA payroll team in Budapest. This is a great opportunity to take on end-to-end payroll responsibilities for international entities, with the potential to work with other countries over time. Finnish Payroll Specialist

Tasks

  • End-to-end payroll management: You'll be responsible for collating and calculating payroll input, and working closely with our payroll vendor to ensure all payments (employee, third party, and statutory) are processed efficiently and on time.
  • Reporting and compliance: You'll deliver timely payroll reports to internal and external stakeholders and ensure all tax year-end reports are in accordance with country legislation.
  • Problem-solving: Provide first-line support for all payroll and tax-related queries from colleagues, offering an excellent customer experience.
  • Process improvement: Identify and implement ways to make our processes better within your assigned countries and beyond.
  • Collaboration: Work with colleagues across the business to ensure a smooth payroll delivery, and support internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing, or some payroll and accounts payable experience.
  • Fluent in Finnish (at least at a communicative level) and English (strong proficiency is essential). 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially strong Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and Look Up functions).
