Technical Operations Specialist

Responsibilities:

Provide monitoring, incident resolution and maintenance of key computer infrastructure. This includes operative and technical tasks in IT Service Management areas, such as Incident, Change, Problem, Service Level and Project Management. This role provides daily operational support of Celanese’s global infrastructure environment. Each individual works with closely with our Service Desk, Infrastructure, Operational Engineering and Application teams. Responsible for strategic and operational initiatives and projects.

Operations Management

  • Alert, Monitoring, and Event Management
  • Reactive, Proactive, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Restoration of Services
  • Continuous improvement for TOC known failure areas

Infrastructure Management

  • Server, Switch, Backup, Storage, Virtualization, LAN, Data Center
  • Lifecycle Management (build, maintain, retire)

Application Management

  • Application lifecycle (install, maintain, retire)
  • Primarily Infrastructure Aplication tools

ITIL Framework

  • Request, Event, Incident, Major Incident, Problem, Knowledge Management
  • CMDB, CI, CMS
  • Dashboard, Reporting
  • SLA, OLA
  • KPIs, Metrics, Availability, Capacity
  • Process improvement

Vendor Management

  • Daily operations

  • Confer with technical personal and managers to develop, implement, and improve organizational and project processes to establish the ITIL processes before new services go into production
  • Coordinate and schedule Incident rehearsals as necessary
  • Support automation projects, event management and other Level 3 initiatives
  • Coordinate projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc level
  • Fluent English skills
  • 1 -3 years of professional experience in the same role or other closely related field

  • ITIL Foundation
