As an Architect with a focus on VMware vSphere, you are responsible for the end-to-end (E2E) feasibility and the design of Hypervisor infrastructure. In this key position, you will work closely with various T-Systems units to test, implement and maintain a stable hypervisor infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

• create releases images for FCI ESXi and vCenter upgrades, intensive testing in the lab, documentation of all changes to previous images, security vulnerabilities patching.
• support the actual operational team (FCI).
• prepare implementation documents for ops team to successfully reinstall the production infrastructure.
• proper documentation to meet audit requirements.
• upgrade VMware Aria Suite products with documentation.
• maintain the lab environment in healthy condition for testing for all local teams.
• handle 3rd level escalations for VMware related topics
• creation of architecture designs for any new VMware products that will be implemented (Ex. Usage Meter)
• responsible for vROps reporting for certain usage that might be requested by other teams

• A completed degree in (Business) Computer Science, Engineering Sciences, or a comparable education with relevant experience.
• Professional experience in virtualization environment with focus on VMware products and services
• Knowledge in protocol IP, routing, switching, security, and optional software development.
• experience with VROPS, LogInsght, Usage Meter
• Understanding of enterprise architectures, network architectures, and analytical thinking in complex environments.

Certifications are an advantage, especially:

• VCP certification
• ITIL® Foundation
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Teamwork, conflict resolution skills, and a confident demeanor in front of customers.
