Your Role and Responsibilities

Objective of the role:

The Benefits SME has responsibility for the ongoing delivery of one or more employee benefits programs. The exact scope of the role will vary depending on the countries or regions being supported, the types of benefits processes being delivered to that country or region, and the specific terms and conditions of each benefits program.

This job role requires frequent teaming with other functions on matters involving benefits design, process automation, vendor contract negotiation, legal compliance, employee relations, employee communications, operational controls, and financial reporting.

This role will sit within a larger team of similar roles and individuals supporting the entire European region. This role will report locally to the Budapest Benefits COE Manager, Jamie Harrison, but will receive work direction from the country being supported. This role is a part time position (50% FTE) – 20hrs per week.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Insurance

  • 3 separate entities with 2 different agreements (IBM Norway/IBM Finance & IBM Services)
  • Annual headcount reporting for the insurance company to calculate next year’s risk and premium
  • Reporting to insurance company in case of long term disability or death
  • Anticipated RFP process 2021 (new vendor selection)

Canteen

  • Checking monthly invoices
  • Regular communication with canteen vendor
  • Creating and extending Purchase Orders in Buy On Demand (BonD) tool.

Company cars

  • Assisting with ordering new company cars and return of expired cars
  • Checking monthly invoices and regular communication with leasing company
  • Creating and extending Purchase Orders in Buy On Demand (BonD) tool.
  • Group Car Allowance – checking eligibility and updating in WD

Other

  • additional pension compensation calculated and updated annually for certain groups of employees.
  • Calculating cost for employees on Champion for Growth (C4G)
  • Annual calculation of payment/fund to local unions
  • W3 – update benefit information on IBM intranet pages

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ability to communicate at a high level in both English and Norwegian, is required both in spoken and written form.
  • Some knowledge of the Benefits landscape and associated regulations would be beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience in using Workday or other HR Systems would be beneficial
  • Methodical, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Analytical Skills and good numeracy
