The Portfolio Area Cloud Services operates on a national and international level, for medium-sized and large companies. Within Cloud Services, we develop, market and operate agile, cloud-native, forward-looking portfolio elements and services for the digital world. Your tasks:
As Pre-Sales Architect you are responsible for Direct Customer engagement, in Customer Demos, POCs, Technical discussions and workshops. Your primary task is supporting the sales process in any phase, from lead generation, lead, opportunity, closure, with your technical expertise in your specific knowledge area. Your task is to showcase T-Systems offerings, solutions, or support in co-creation, advisory or design. At the same time, your task includes providing guidance to portfolio and offering managers, based on customer feedbacks as well as continuous cooperation with Portfolio to keep the offerings up-to-date and useful.
Your role will include developing program vision, roadmaps and delivering business value through agile methodologies.
Further responsibilities of your activity are:

- to support customers during PoC and PoV phase, setting up and running product PoC´s / PoVs .
- for product demonstration to our customers
- for feeding back customer demands to Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Units
- During Opportunity development phase and deal generation
- Pitching product value story to our customers and prospects, running product live demos, paid PoCs and paid MVPS
- Explaining technical feature to our customers and leading feature discussions with our customers.
- Convincing customers on capabilities of T-Systems standard solutions
- Creating Sales Opportunities by supporting customers forming their requirements; Mapping features to customer demands.
- Be the deep technical expert for one or more Portfolio Elements.
- Collection customer demands and share them with portfolio managers and Portfolio Units and Partner Management.
- Handover of Leads/opportunities to solution design
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape, understanding what other IT service providers offer as feedback from customers.
- Be prepared to articulate why our offerings are superior and build long-term client relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and other relevant information in CRM systems.
- Not responsible: support in Deal documentation
- You will be responsible for mapping customer requirements to existing and future T-Systems solutions in the Cloud environment.
- Analysis of optimization potentials and derivation of measures.
- You understand platform architectures and underlying technologies.
- Assessment of requirements from compliance, IT security and regulatory markets.
- C-level platform architecture consulting in customer projects.
- Contact person for customers and partners (architecture, network, operations, software development).
Qualifications
Your Profile:
In addition to a degree in computer science or engineering or comparable education, you have at least 3 years of professional experience, including activities in similar positions in the IT/Cloud industry. Furthermore, you have the following experience and knowledge:
- General Cloud knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of Network, Storage and Compute
- VMware vSphere Experience
- Excellent Customer presentation skills
- Analytical skills
- Pitching product value story to our customers and prospects
- Running product live demos
- Explaining technical feature to our customers and leading feature discussions with our customer

- Setting up and running product POC´s in your technical area (Containers, AO, OTC, Private Cloud, AI, etc.)

- Experience in project management and complex projects at large companies.
- Very good knowledge of German and English language, both written and spoken.
- High social competence as well as distinctive ability to work in a team (also in international and virtual teams).
- Flexibility and willingness to travel is expected.
