Quality Control Engineer

ABOUT THE JOB:

Ceva-Phylaxia seeks applicants for the full-time position of Quality Control Engineer in the QC Team within the Quality Control Directory of Ceva’s Phylaxia Campus in Budapest’s 10th district.

The Phylaxia Campus is one of the flagship sites of Ceva Animal Health group. The QC Team is responsible for investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to enhance test robustness and product quality. They collaborate across multiple QC laboratories (Animal House, ELISA, Virology, PCR) to improve processes, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate documentation. Their goal is to streamline investigations, strengthen quality standards, and drive continuous improvement in testing and inspection.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Reporting to the QC Manager, you will investigate quality issues, analyze data, and collaborate with QC and production to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and ensure timely product release while preventing shortages.

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

• Investigate quality issues using root cause analysis techniques and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Analyze quality test data to identify trends and improve processes and product quality.
• Supervise and inspect testing across multiple laboratories to detect defects or inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with QC and production teams to facilitate investigations and enhance cooperation.
• Ensure timely product release by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent shortages.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• University degree in biology engineer
• 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or quality control (Experience in a virology or Elisa laboratory is desirable)
• Good level of English
• Project work experience
• Proficient in big data analysis
• Database approach
