Senior Scrum Master

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for multiple Agile teams, ensuring all ceremonies are productive and focused.
  • Mentor and Coach Agile Teams: Guide teams to higher levels of maturity, at a sustainable pace, while developing self-organization and accountability.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve blockers that impact team productivity and delivery timelines, working proactively to mitigate risks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Product Owners, project stakeholders, and other teams to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by conducting Agile assessments, identifying gaps, and implementing training or workshops.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and team health checks to provide insights into team performance.
  • Foster a Collaborative Environment: Build a safe and trusting environment where conflicts can be managed constructively, and innovative ideas can thrive.
  • Promote Agile Best Practices: Advocate for Agile and Lean principles throughout the organization, helping to shape and evolve the company’s Agile journey.
  • Scaling Agile: Participate in the implementation and scaling of Agile practices across multiple teams using frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM II/III), or SAFe Agilist certifications preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading Agile teams in complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and experience with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with a passion for helping teams grow and succeed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with scaling Agile practices in large organizations using frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale.
  • Solid understanding of software development processes and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment or similar large-scale Agile frameworks.
  • Background in software development, business analysis, or project management.
  • Experience in coaching remote or distributed teams.
  • Previous experience in a technology-driven or digital transformation-focused organization.
