Project Management Office Manager


As the Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) you will enable our PMO to provide superior service - across all lines of business - in the delivery of on-time, quality studies. Initially, you will focus on a specific service line's studies and take responsibility for managing project coordination staff, process improvements, training, and/or reporting and metrics capabilities.


In this diverse and highly visible role, our Manager, PMO will focus on clinical trial data collection support and 

  • Manage, mentor and develop designated Project Management Office staff
  • Organize and conduct Project Management Office team meetings to communicate corporate/department updates.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for customer issues and with internal and customer teams to ensure timely issue resolution
  • Direct the hiring, orientation, and training plan for the Project Management Office team members.
  • Work with the department management team to assure that departmental objectives are being implemented and completed according to schedule.
  • Promote inter-departmental collaboration and serve as designated departmental liaison to create a positive team environment, effective communications, and efficient use of resources to meet contract deadlines.
  • Develop strategies and support initiatives to promote excellent customer service and to streamline Project Management Office procedures
  • Manages KPIs and metrics that measure performance and drive efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with timely training completion/documentation.
  • Develop, review and revise Standard Operating Procedures, Job Descriptions, and Departmental Training Plans, as needed.
  • Spearhead departmental initiatives, and initiate process development for new equipment, services, and systems.
  • May attend customer meetings with Business Development and/or Operational teams to present Clario services and Operational workflow, as applicable.
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and/or special projects as time or circumstances necessitate.

What we seek from candidates applying for the Manager, PMO role is a combination of the following qualifications, experience, skills and knowledge  

  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Extensive Project Management experience in telecom, SaaS-based technologies, Clinical Trials, Healthcare IT or pharmaceutical field (or related industry experience) in a high-volume, short turn-around environment
  • Proven Management/Supervisory experience preferred (several years of direct people management, with teams of 10+ members)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with strong emphasis on developing a growing team
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug development process
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, and prioritization skills; a great collaborator who knows how to get things done while building successful partnerships within and outside the company
  • Valid passport and ability to travel across offices as needed (estimated @ 20%) 
  • Local to Hungary
  • Ability to work from home on a regular basis (this role will be fully remote to start, although we may offer hybrid options at a later date)
